Honouring radio
Every year on February 13, the world celebrates the invention that is radio. In a landscape so shaped by the Internet, smartphones and streaming, radio has managed to stay equally relevant over the years. The 2022 theme of the holiday explains one of the reasons for this: Trust. Many people continue to associate radio with reliability. They trust that radio news coverage is accurate, well-researched and verified. This trust extends to other features as well of course, including but not limited to traffic announcements, station accessibility and stability of transmissions. With digital radio overhauling the FM experience people grew up with, we have some interesting new insights about DAB+ for you.
You can’t say radio without thinking Pure
World Radio Day is an important commemorative holiday in the Aqipa calendar. With our longtime integrated partner brand Pure, we celebrate radio as a medium most of all – we provide the perfect devices for all transmission types, from FM to DAB+ to Internet radio. Pure took a trip to Radiomuseum Innsbruck in Austria for the occasion, where they staged a rock ‘n’ roll outing of the new Evoke range. Spot, Play and Home partook in a retro-style photoshoot, mixing in with a variety of vintage devices from different decades, thus becoming part of radio history themselves. Check out the epic results!
